The Purpose
The primary purpose of a Care Group is do exactly what the name implies: CARE! Modeling ourselves after our Lord Jesus, we desire to demonstrate care and concern for all our members in a small group setting..
Our Group
Our group consists of around 15 adults who meet bi-weekly in member’s homes. Presently, the leadership is shared amongst a number of the attenders. Usually meeting on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month (6:30 - 8:00 p.m)we engage in conversation, debate and study regarding the challenges we face in our daily lives and the ways in which God’s word can help us.
Most meetings include a time of sharing; a time of Bible discussion and prayer; and a time of fellowship (which must include food!). Our aim is to keep the focus on people instead of a program.
In addition, a variety of outreach activities and church unity events have been a part of our activities.
The members of our Care Group develop friendships and a network of support. We hope that everyone finds our meetings a time of renewal so that we are prepared to face another week in the world.
There’s always an empty chair in the circle for new members!
